Eleni is a Senior Lecturer & Consultant Oral Surgeon at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. Following her graduation with honours from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Greece in 2010, she worked and trained at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals, at the Eastman Dental Institute, UCL and at the Edinburgh Dental Institute, where she completed her specialist training in Oral Surgery in 2018. Following the completion of her training she was subsequently appointed as a Consultant in the same hospital.
Eleni has a broad experience in clinical teaching and research in Oral Surgery. She has completed a Masters in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute, UCL and a Doctorate in Dental Surgery in stem cells for bone and nerve regeneration from Edinburgh University. Her current job involves teaching and supervision of trainee dentists at various levels alongside her clinical work as a Consultant Oral Surgeon.
Her practice mainly involves complex teeth extractions including wisdom teeth, ectopic teeth in adults and children, surgical procedures to assist orthodontic treatment such as expose and bond of canines, implant placement and bone augmentation/grafting, management of cysts, soft tissue biopsies, IV sedation as well as treating facial pain patients.
